Les Miserables

Disclaimer: This is not a "pick-me up" post.

So, we're here. I'm still pretty depressed and I can't find any of my stuff. It is literally strung out from here to Florence, SC (CJ's dad took some boxes to store at his house). Among my absolute favorite things I can not find are my wonderful bra, my sneakers to work out in (all I have is my black crocs), my camera, and my fingernail stuff. I still have the glittery pink polish on from when I gave myself a mani at Leslie's and it's peeling off- YUCK! I'm trying to be optimistic but it just isn't working. I don't want to talk to any of my friends because I know I'll cry (my eyes are welling up now). If any of you have any encouraging verses for me to meditate on, please send them my way.

On the upside, I did get to go to church yesterday and they played a little Bon Jovi ditty "You Give Love a Bad Name" making way for a lesson on Samson and Delilah. I do love me some Bon Jovi. The one thing I will say about the Irmo campus of Seacoast as they absolutely can rock it out during worship. I'm sure all of the campuses had their own rendition of the song too.

Another high note is Judah is walking more and more; however, because I can't find my camera, no pics to share for now. But he is cute. My parents have a lot more furniture for him to hang onto so he is much more brave. Also, my dad- the all-powerful Poppy- keeps Cole and Jonah occupied so Judah has much more alone time and he isn't getting pushed down by his brothers. When I do find my camera, you'll be inundated!!

We just had a little blurb of the song, a sound bite really. I feel jipped! It was a super good lesson though, I love our church. AND I love that you can move and still go to the same one as me!

Here's one for you:

"Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion..." Ps 103:2-4

I know how it is to be unsettled and not having everything you need/want at an arm's reach. (Living with my in-laws for 2 months was definitely NOT a high point in my life!) I'll be praying for you and the boys, though. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but...this too shall pass! My mom always tells me this...and it isn't always what I want to hear, but does encourage me. This is ONLY temporary....NOT permanent.

I can't believe Judah is walking!! Seems just like yesterday he was born!! Go little Judah, go!!

I miss you so much girl. Don't cry, it will make me cry. I know it is sinking in now, but we are only 90 miles (if even) away. You just come on when you need a break or a fix. I don't have a verse, but I do have a couple of sayings: When God closes a door, he opens a window, God never gives you more than you and HE can't handle together, and everything, absolutely EVERYTHING happens for a reason. One day you will look back at this and know what it is. Be strong my strong sista of faith..hugs and kisses mixed with tears.

Is. 40:28-31

Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
and strengthens the powerless.
Even youths will faint and be weary,
and the young will fall exhausted;
but those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.

O.. my sweet Mama Sugar!! I feel as if I may be in the same boat as you very soon! Be expecting a phone call from me soon, crying like lil baby!
Hebrews 11:8-9
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith-for he was like a foreigner, living in a tent. And so did Isaac and Jacob, to whom God gave the same promise!

Oh Sugar - you poor thing - I know it's hard to move away! You will get settled soon - you are too much of a go getter not to! Cry if you need to; might make you feel better.
BIG HUGS!!!
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
