Day From %@#$!!

Look at these precious faces!

You would never think every now and again, when I least expect it, fang teeth grow out and horns come out from behind their ears. Yesterday was one those days they showed up. It was probably one of the worst days for behavior in the Jeffcoat House we have had in a long time. At one point, I went into my bathroom and shut the door and just cried. I felt like such a loser for feeling like I was losing my mind and like I was losing control. After I pulled myself together, I came out of my bathroom only to see Cole pinching Judah's cheeks and pulling his head back and forth! At that moment, for a split second, I could understand how some parents lose their tempers with their sweet blessings! I picked up Judah and put him in his room and closed his door. I grabbed Cole's hand and led him to his room and told him to get into his bed and not to get out of it and did the same for Jonah. I went to each of them individually and dressed them all the way to their shoes and socks while they stayed in their beds. They had to remain in their beds until I came to get them to put them in the van. We went through the drive-thru at McDonald's for lunch (it was only 11) as I explained why we could not get out and play as we had planned to do earlier. We went home, ate lunch, and I put them all to bed where they stayed until CJ came home.

I have decided today is going to be a better day- as we are cooped up inside with all of the rain!

Awww. I HATE those days! Thank goodness they only happen every once in a while! You handled it beautifully! I'm surprised they all stayed in their beds!

Hang in there, girlfriend! We all have crappy days & usually they are followed by good ones. You found a super way of dealing with it -- each in their rooms... great idea!

Girl, I know what it feels like to be going OUT OF YOUR MIND some days. It's in those crazy moments that you come to full realization that without God you can't make it. I am so proud of you for handling everything the way you did ... from the giving yourself a "time out" to crying it out, to separating the boys instead of flying off the handle ... BRAVO SUGAR! You are such a great mom. I learn so much from you just in how you handle the day-to-day stuff that comes with being married and having kids. I hope that you have a MUCH better day real soon to help you forget about this really tough one. Thanks for sharing your experience. It's nice to know that I am not the only one who feels like she is going MAD sometimes. :) Love you!
